On a bright Saturday afternoon, the Life-Giving Tree Organization, a shelter for children from single-parent families in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, was filled with excitement. Over 30 students gathered for the much anticipated ‘Dance Camp’. This event was a collaboration between the Green Tree Club and the Dance Club of CCAS, who had spent more than a month preparing to create a fun and meaningful experience for the children, aged 6 to 14.

The Green Tree Club members were split into two groups, one focused on dancing and the other on singing, as they prepared for the Dance Camp. The dance team practiced choreographies for ‘꿈빛 파티시엘’, ‘멈출 수 없네’, and ‘Attention’ by New Jeans, guided by members of the Dance Club. Meanwhile, the singing team worked on rehearsing and teaching songs to the children.
On September 28th, the day of the Dance Camp, members from both clubs arrived at the Life-Giving Tree Organization, filled with excitement, which was warmly met by the enthusiastic welcome of the children. After setting up the stage and music, the Dance Club members led the choreography, while other club members helped guide the children through the movements. Surprisingly, many of the children were already familiar with the song ‘멈출 수 없네’ and its dance. The children especially enjoyed dancing ‘꿈빛 파티시엘’, so the group broke into smaller teams for more focused practice.

Before concluding the event, everyone sat down together to sing the gospel song ‘멈출 수 없네’. It was a touching moment as the children sang along, immersed in the music. At the end, both the CCAS students and the children stood once more, made a large circle and danced the songs they had practiced together. It was followed by a round of applause to celebrate the incredible time they had shared. As the day came to an end, the club members couldn’t wait to start planning for their next visit, filled with ideas for more engaging activities with the children.
